Who is for Real? Update:Changes In Edm Tambellini Out, MacTavish Named GM |

The weekend loss to the arch-rival Calgary Flames and end of any realistic chance to make the playoffs has resulted in the Edmonton Oilers firing GM Steve Tambellini and replacing him with former coach Craig MacTavish.
MacTavish, who was fired by Tambellini exactly four years ago, joined the Oilers as VP of Hockey Operations less than a year ago. Team President Kevin Lowe announced that former Columbus GM Scott Howson, who served as Lowe's assistant GM for five years, will replace MacTavish as VP of Hockey Operations.
