First off to our Jewish readers out there, I hope you all are having a peaceful and easy fast today. As many of you know my wife is Jewish and we are getting together with family and friends to break the fast.

So we have been spending this awesome fall day in the park with the kids...my intention was to put out the Pacific Blog tonight after we get together with family and friends to break the fast in Cherry Hill, NJ....

However, just getting too many texts telling me the Leafs are closing in on major deal. (as a side note the Leafs traded for Phil Kessel on a Jewish holiday as well...great fun if you are at a family dinner table and your phone starts goes nuts!

So, really quick, here is what I am getting: The Leafs are talking to the Flames, Flyers, and Kings about obtaining a "top 6 forward" as well as a depth goalie...(not sure why they are trying to get another goalie...one source said they would flip a goalie in the deal possibly...not Reimer, who was flat out spectacular in game 1.)

Also hearing Vancouver and Florida are discussing "a goaltender deal" as well as a "highly touted prospect currently playing in Europe."
