Teams Kicking Tires on Both Schenns |

Two days into Flyers training camp, the team's new head coach Dave Hakstol is sending a pretty clear message to both Schenn brothers that the time to deliver is now. Meanwhile, I continue to hear that several teams are asking about the availability of one or both brothers.
Brayden, a restricted free agent next July, has skated on the "fifth line" each of the first two days with prospect Scott Laughton and veteran Chris Porter.... both roster bubble players at this point.
Luke, an unrestricted free agent next July, has skated on the "fourth pair" of defensemen with Brandon Manning. Right now, the buzz is that Radko Gudas (skating with Andrew MacDonald) has the early inside track for the sixth starting spot.
Early is the operative word here, but there is still a definite message being sent as much as the coach and players downplay it. A lot of things could happen between now and opening night. One or both could work their way back up the lineup depth chart. But the odds are also increasing that one or both could be wearing a different uniform by opening night. Stay tuned....
