Interesting development out of Dallas: Although Stephane Robidas is still the number one defenseman for the Stars in terms of ice time and still has one more year to run on his contract, a source says that the team will be willing to make him available by the trade deadline should the team not be in serious contention in the weeks to come.

Robidas has a no-trade clause, but that is not believed to be a major obstacle in his case. Additionally his cap-friendly salary ($3.3 million cap hit), righthanded shot, durability and non-UFA status after this season has made him a player of interest for at least four teams. Already hearing his old team, Montreal, New Jersey, Pittsburgh and Ottawa have interest if he's available.

Stay tuned on this one....
