*QUICK HIT RUMORS AS UPDATED ON THE RUMOR CHART:
*The Kaberle front is quiet today and may remain that way until Jay Bouwmeester's signing in Calgary becomes official, even possibly after July 1. There is a team working on a possible deal for later today. That team is not the Bruins...However, I am hearing everywhere that the Bruins and Leafs could start talks again regarding Kaberle to Boston for Kessel+ Something to note: Should this deal happen I am also told that Kessel "might not stay in Toronto for too long and could be a part of a much bigger deal where Toronto lands another player."
*Pierre Lebrun is reporting that Mike Gillis is flying to Sweden with 48 hours to go in an attempt to salvage the Sedin situation. The Sedin situation in Vancouver is starting to remind me of the Sundin one last summer in Montreal. Gillis should do all he can to make this happen now so that come Wednesday this time the distractions are eliminated. Last year with Montreal it felt like Mats kind of handcuffed the Habs and they missed out on some strong chances.
*If rumors of a 5 year 20 Million deal that the Habs are putting out there are accurate, Komisarek may not be a Canadien for long.
*On the Lecavalier front...The Habs are still trying to put forth the "solid hockey deal" that the Lightning are looking for here. I fully expect that tonight becomes a major night in the Vinny saga and tomorrow will be all Vinny all the time. The Wild, Rangers, Islanders, Canucks, Kings, and Oilers all are in on this as well hould the Habs fail.
*Gaborik to Vancouver looks like a solid bet, but much depnds on what happens with the Sedins. Look for the Kings name to creep up in the Gaborik sweeps.
* I have heard that the Sabres may have interest in Dany Heatley. This is kind of shocking in some ways, so I am looking into it further for sure. I will update. As of now, I am having a really hard time imagining that Heatley will be dealt at all.
