Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Sens and Kings have completed a deal involving defenseman Dion Phaneuf. Phaneuf was benched by Ottawa in the game against Pittsburgh since the middle of the second period.
The complete deal is Phaneuf and Nate Thompson (with the Sens retaining 25% of Phaneuf's salary to LA for Marian Gaborik and forward Nick Shore.

* Lots of buzz around the Flyers and Sabres talking deal, but NOT surrounding a goalie as is being reported. Ellliot's injury doesn't look great (will know more soon) but the Flyers have more interest in a forward....NOT Evander Kane however...
* Vegas has interest in Mike Green...I am told the interest is growing as well...The Knights need experienced D-men..
* Bob McKenzie is reporting the Bolts have interest as well in Ryan McDonagh.. looking into it, but Bob is NEVER wrong about these sort of things...What I have been told so far is that the Bolts have looked hard into a long term plan with Erik Karlsson...
