The Kings have been scouting the Sabres and DO need scoring, but I am told they aren't high on Evander Kane and haven't been scouting him...to this point. Of course in saying this feel free to use the 2006 joke, "If Eklund says they don't want Kane it must be happening." :) And you may be right, because things do change. All I can say is what is happening as of this moment...and that is NOT Evander Kane. Many are making the natural link to the Kings since Kane is a scorer and currently scoring at a good pace...good, not great.
Yesterday on the podcast I expressed the opinion "I really don't see Evander Kane as a Darryl Sutter type of player." Right after the podcast I got a text from LA, "RIGHT ON about coach Sutter."
I guess you never know who might be listening to the podcast...

I am told that some preliminary discussions have been ongoing regarding a Jordan Eberle for Travis Hamonic swap and it makes some sense. Both players aren't having the greatest of seasons and both teams could use the help.
