Quick Hits as Draftmass Eve falls on Montreal:

*QUICK HIT RUMORS AS UPDATED ON THE RUMOR CHART:

*TSN is reporting that the Leafs have received a significant offer for Tomas Kaberle.

*I have heard Rumors stretching from 4 draft picks from Atlanta, to Chicago, to picks from Nashville, to the Wild.

*Mike Russo is reporting the LA Kings may be offering up the #5 overall plus Frolov for Dany Heatley

*The Oilers have interest in Heatley, but MORE interest in Spezza. One source told me that Spezza could be moved and Heatley stuck in Ottawa. The Oilers love Spezza.

*Sources continue to tell me that the Canucks are on the inside track for Jay Bo...And the flyers are considering upping the offer.

*The Canadiens have turned down some serious offers for Komisarek's rights.

*Believe it or not the Ottawa Senators are talking to the Sharks about Marleau again (like the return of the swallows to...)

*Vinny Lecavalier could still be headed to any of four teams...Although Montreal is the favorite, there are rumblings of a fifth team, possibly San Jose getting involved.

*The Blue Jackets are talking a SERIOUS trade with San Jose, possibly for Joe Thornton (who has been called untouchable.

*The Flyers like Ohlund a lot as well.

*The Lightning have put out a statement to all the agents that they are not to talk directly to anyone except Brian Lawton.

*The Rangers and Sabres are leading the way for Gionta.

*The Calgary Flames have as many as three really serious offers to Dion Phaneuf.

*The Canadiens are looking into a way to acquire the rights to the Sedins.

*The Leafs have serious interest in Rick Nash, but it is still doubtful that it happens right now.

All indications are that the Vancouver Canucks are getting the closest right now to landing Jay Bouwmeester. VERY close. I will tell you when it happens...(one source put it at 90% done)

The Blues are once again very seriously considering making a run at Pronger. Could happen this weekend.

The Islanders may have a serious surprise in store for their fans tomorrow night. One source in Montreal has told me that the NHL will get whoever (Tavares) is picked #1 out of Montreal as quickly as possible so that he can jump on a private jet and fly to the Island where he will be introduced to the 15,000 plus!

Also, there are some players on the Canadiens who are hearing that some of their teammates are being prepared for the possibility of being moved to Tampa.

more to come...

The "Chance They Could Be Traded" Chart...

This is a little bit different than the RUMOR CHART. Essentially, I will keep track of this for the next week or so. Where the RUMOR CHART tells you "where" they could be traded, this will tell you if I feel they will be traded and how that is trending...

Chance They Could Be Traded

Bouwmeester: 100% (Up 5%)
Lecavalier: 85% (Down 10%)
Heatley: 80% (Down 10%)
Kessel: 40% (even)

Quick hits will come real time today and through the weekend...as I get them..so expect several short blogs...

*Everywhere I turn this morning I am hearing that The Rangers are working on a "huge deal."

*Heatley to Boston is now "much more likely due to a deal that the Bruins have on the Table." I believe the deal would send Kessel to Anaheim or Minnesota. Heatley would love to play for Chiarelli again.

*This really feels like the day we will see Bouwmeester dealt. A source told me that late last night all possibilities of Bouwmeester returning to Florida "are no more."

*Reggie Lemelin is out as Flyers Goalie coach. replaced by Jeff Reese. I really liked Reggie. Quality person.
