Welcome to Monday Hockeyworld!

Preds/Jackets

First off...I am told the further talks between the Predators and Jackets,Hartnell/Wilson, have all but broken down completely. Both teams want to retain their players for now and see how the most recent changes affect them. It is still possible that either player could be moved before the deadline, but not likely for each other. I also heard Hartnell tied to Pittsburgh over the weekend.

Drouin rumors....

I'm still hearing the Blues and Montréal out front on the Jonathan Drouin front, and as I reported last week the biggest name coming back to Tampa could be Shattenkirk. I would really be shocked however if this deal happened within the next few weeks.

Stamkos update.

I'm starting to hear EXTREMELY quiet rumblings that Stamkos's could be on the verge of extending his contract with Tampa. I do think the extension has to happen before Steve Yzerman can decide what to do with Drouin.

more updates as I get them
