With PK Subban filing for arbitration the clock is most definitely ticking....or maybe that ticking is more of a time bomb..

There is a very strong general feeling out there that PK has the Canadiens over a barrel. He will get whatever he wants from them and will definitely come out of all of this as the highest paid defenseman of all time. The Habs will be trying hard to work out a longer deal for Subban, because if they don't give him whatever he wants the arbitrator will at best give them only two more years and then PK will be one hell of an attractive UFA.

And is that what PK wants?

It is no secret that PK didn't like all that went down last year with coach Therrien. The current regime didn't back PK for the Canadian Olympic team until word got out that they weren't backing him, and PK's ice time/pressure in the playoffs left him notiocably frustrated in the playoffs as PK was not only the team's best defender but often their best offensive threat as well. It is one thing for a defenseman to play 32 minutes a game, it is another if that defender is playing those minutes but as a 200 foot player.
