News out of the GM meetings in Las Vegas, TSN's Bob McKenzie is reporting that pending approval by the NHL's Board of Governors, the league will go to a 3-on-3 overtime for 5 minutes in regular season games next season after the NHLPA balked at the seven minute 4-on-4 to 3-on-3 OT which was used in the AHL last season.

Breaking...Hearing the salary cap set at $71.4M Ceiling with a $52.8M Floor....
The Kings traded for Andrej with the hopes of bringing him back, but things are getting a bit dicey according to sources. The Penguins and Red Wings (who also tried to trade for Sekera) have interest as well, and talks with the Kings look to be moving away from a return.
On Mike Green...
If I was a betting man I would say the first UFA whose rights we see getting dealt would be Mike Green's and likely to Edmonton...several sources have told me Edmonton is pursuing the rights from Washington...although Detroit is also a good possibility.
On Craig Anderson....
The Sens are more willing to trade Lehner, but all the talk is about Anderson...Anderson is very much looked upon as a stabilizing goalie....Edmonton and San Jose could both up their offers...
We will discuss all this and more on today's Buzzcast at 1pm ET...
