Quick Update...

ERIC BREWER HAS BEEN TRADED TO TAMPA FOR D-Man Brock Beukeboom and a draft pick

We are in trade deadline world BIG TIME

A few more deals have happened, and I continue to track the rumors around the trades...

* Sharks got a d-man in Ian White, however there are still reports out there that they may not be done and may be grabbing another D, keeping White, and dealing a player on their current roster.

* The Habs and Leafs are both very much in on Stephen Weiss, amidst reports that Weiss may indeed not be going anywhere...

* On Brad Richards....There are quite a few people who believe Brian Burke may be gearing up with picks to make a run at Richards. One source told me "Brian will outspend everyone this summer to get Richards, and the Rangers will be his chief competition." Another source adding: "Toronto would love to grab him now and try to get the deal done before July 1."

Richards of course is still injured with many questioning if he does indeed have a concussion.

* We know Chris Phillips said he wants to remain a Senator, yet his name still is popping up everywhere, and at least 1 GM feels he is still available. "Not buying that he is off the market yet."

I will be doing a special Friday Podcast Mash-up Podcast of The Hockey Buzzcast and Kevin Allen's Insider Cast at 5:30 pm ET where you can call in and ask Kevin and I questions...
