Of course trades that happen right around noon really screwed up the beautifully put together blog that I was working on. :)
I will say this....GREAT TRADE FOR BOTH TEAMS.
I honestly don't see this having any real affect on the Pronger or Nieds situation. The Ducks only have Pronger signed next year. They now have a grand total of 2 defenseman signed.
Whitney is, as I have been saying, going to be great..quite possibly #1/#2 great...but the guy is still recovering from that surgery...It will get better
Kunitz will be fun to watch in Pittsburgh. (and Tangradi is no slouch of a prospect either)
I will examing how this domino could start the ball rolling nicely... in my next blog that will be out before or around 2pm...
Really quick, I will throw this out there about last night's Flyers/Kings game.
I know the LA Kings were beaten last night, but I have to tell watching them live I was totally impressed by them...And reading some Kings fans, the Kings were flat. I will tell you what (folks like me in the East who never see the Kings) the Kings are very sound positionally and have some serious talent.
I have always admired the passion of Kings fans. One of the best Kings fan sites (and IMO, the best Non NHL sanctioned TEAM FAN site in the NHL) LetsGoKings.com is an amazing collection of fans that anyone who lives in Canada and thinks that there are no real hockey fans in LALA Land should read. To Kings fans, LetsGoKings.com is a reliegion. The Kings have been around a LONG time now and there is a serious hockey culture down out there.
I would also suggest reading the following story on LetsGoKings.com that was penned by Carla Muller (formerly of Hockeybuzz, GO CARLA) where I think Carla may have actually put a piece together that really shows tha passion that does exist... READ IT HERE
