Hjalmarsson is currently in Arizona and sits with 1 year after this one on his contract at 4.1M per. For a top 4 player Dman with several rings already....quite the asset.
I don't know why all of the sudden his name is suddenly being bandied about, but for some reason I have heard it no less than 5 times over the last two days when talking to sources...
And as of now you can count The Rangers, Leafs, Sabres, and Capitals as "more than intrigued."
When I asked my key source on this player if we were talking about a trade deadline move I was told, "Not with those four teams...they all would like to land him in the current calendar year to sure up some holes and playoff spots /positioning...
