As expected, it was Islanders Authorized who broke the news of the one call-up from the Sound Tigers at 9:20 pm.
The Islanders have recalled Jesse Joensuu from loan after the 6'4, 207 pound winger began the season with the organization's AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Joensuu has played in a total of 28 games for the Sound Tigers this season, tallying 16 points (five goals and 11 assists).
No other information has come out yet... like... how LONG Bergenheim will be out, or how bad Jackman is. Nope. We are still waiting on an update on them. But, Joensuu gets another crack at the NHL for Saturday's match-up against the Bruins.
Hmmmmm.... Okay, who gets the press box Saturday? Will Scott make a statement by sitting someone OTHER than Robbie and Blake? Anything can happen from now until Saturday night.... Anything....
