Wed, 12:15 pm: Two things. First, there is another suitor for the Coliseum property that now has ads and a website out. Go check out the www.iloveli.net website and see what you think.

At least there are no Ranger logos present.

Also, as per Christian Arnold, the NHL Awards are taking a different slant this year. http://nyiblog.wordpress.com/2013/05/24/plans-announced-for-2013-nhl-awards/ No big Las Vegas side show, so at least that means we don't have to deal with sitting through painful acts that just don't belong around Hockey -- Jay Mohr.

Monday, 11 pm: In today's Dolan owned Newsday, on page A8, under "Top Stories" there is an article entitled "The Push to Win Coliseum Job." http://www.newsday.com/long-island/nassau/would-be-nassau-coliseum-developers-compete-via-ads-1.5350105 It's a feature about the ad campaigns and lengths the possible developers of the Coliseum property are going to in order to "woo" local residents and most importantly politicians before the final choice is made by July 15th.

Here is the Dolan & company website for their proposal http://msg.com/msghubvision/proposal.html. I have had a problem loading the video, so I am not going to post it. The Ratner group doesn't have a website, but his video is just as slick as his words and his press tour. I cannot find the Ratner commercial anywhere on the web. But we have already heard all Ratner and Yormark's sales pitches, much of which they may not be able to fulfill. But something on the MSG website truly irked me.

Throughout the website's list of reasons they should be Mangano's choice -- their credibility, financial committment and expertise -- they touted all things MSG. However, when I read this line, I wanted to throw up.

•MSG Sports Zone, which will bring the excitement of MSG's legendary brands to the heart of Long Island

That's right Isles fans, MSG's BRANDS and Dolan's teams will be brought to the 'heart of Long Island.' And a knife will be thrust into Isles fans' hearts everywhere.

Where the legendary banners of a Stanley Cup dynasty once hung will be MSG BRANDS, Rangers, Knicks, Liberty and a 'minor league Rangers' affiliate.'

This is the Dolan plan -- wipe out the New York Islanders on Long Island. Strip the history from Uniondale and replace it with a new Ranger foothold.

I'm saddened and sick at the thought. Just sick.

Sideboards: Yes, another Islanders preseason game has been scheduled. Isles vs Sens - Preseason Game - Barrie Molson Centre - Sept 29 '13. Thanks to Sab for the heads up last night, but I failed to use it.

Also, if you're not going to be able to go to the NHL draft this year in New Jersey, there will be a special event in NYC for "Five Hole for Food" on Saturday, June 29th in Central Park. Check it out http://www.fiveholeforfood.com/2013/05/canada-day-international-five-hole-for-food-in-new-york-city/.
