10:08 pm: Wow! You guys really do love the enforcers. Yeah, yeah. Sorry about leaving Mick off the list. But there are plenty to chose from, and you have been!

There is another organization that is missing out without Islanders Hockey and that is the Red Cross. Saturday October 20th, the Islanders are teaming up with the Red Cross for two events in one location.

Coliseum Lower Lobby | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Help give the gift of life by joining the Islanders and the American Red Cross in donating blood to a great cause. To schedule an appointment to donate, call 1.800.RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org
Reference Sponsor code 15930.

All presenting donors will receive:
A voucher for two (2) tickets to a future 2012-13 Islanders home game*, opportunity to win an overnight package which includes four (4) Islanders game tickets and overnight accommodations, a Monro Muffler coupon
good for two great offers, a voucher for one (1) free entrée from Moe’s Southwest Grill and more!

Plus, each presenting blood donor will receive a coupon good for $10 OFF at the Islanders Team Store located in the box office in Nassau Coliseum, valid that day only.

Last year, the Red Cross did very well with the blood drive they had before a game, but without the games so many needy organizations are suffering. So, don't let them go without, just because we are.

Okay, let me go get the results from the polls!

10/9/12 11 pm: Hey! How did I miss that AMac has decided to head to the Czech League to play for HC Energie Karlovy Vary? Maybe because I would never be able to spell it. But per Katie Strang, he's off. Meanwhile Bobby Ryan is skating in New Jersey because he wants to be close to the states when the lock-out ends. Good for you.

I am really starting to wonder what sort of hockey we will see when the game returns. How many of those players who were at the top of their game last season will take a sharp decline when they return? How many who were on the cusp of hitting their stride will have their development stunted? How many veterans will never play another game as a pro?

The game they are fighting over will be vastly different should it ever come back. The longer it takes, the worse it will be. Ugh. I can't think about it.

Okay, last poll. We needed two reserve skaters. So let's pick from the guys who may not be the best skaters but made one hell of an impact. Some may have been on lists before, simply because of their position. But this is my list of tough guys. Now, as I do not know every player who has ever donned an Isles sweater, I may have left off tough guys from the early days. So humor me. We only need two. So pick Two.

And if you haven't voted in a previous poll, please go back using the links at the bottom of this article to go to the various polls.
