As per Art Staple of Newsday's Twitter feed Evgeni Nabokov and Garth Snow have come to a 1-year contract extension agreement. Details to follow once Art gets off a plane.

HA! However, TSN has a direct link to the NHLPA's fax machine. The Nabokov deal is 1 year worth $2.75 Million but does NOT include a no move or no trade clause which may come in handy next year at the deadline -- or not.

From the official press release posted immediately after:
“I’m thrilled to commit to this team for next season,” Nabokov said. “We have a great group in the locker room of young, talented players and we’re heading in the right direction. I’m excited to have the chance to help get this team back to the playoffs.”
This comes on the heels of the Isles getting another Russian prospect yesterday for "future consideration."

From yesterday's Isles Twitter feed:

Player Transaction: the team has acquired Yury Alexandrov from the Boston Bruins for future considerations. He will remain in Russia

Radulov returns to the Predators and now everyone wants a Russian hockey player.
