The Flyers now have a place for some of the spare players on the Phantoms to play. Today, the team announced that they have reached an affiliation with the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL for the remainder of this season 2008-09 season.

The Sea Wolves replace the Wheeling Nailers, who served as the club's ECHL affiliate flast year. The organization has the option of sending players who are either on two-way NHL contracts or AHL deals to the Mississippi. Likely candidates include defenseman Patrik Hersley and goaltender Michael Lee Teslak.
