The Anaheim Ducks selected eight more prospects in Rounds 2-7 of the NHL Draft yesterday, after taking center Leo Carlsson with their first-round pick on Wednesday.

Here’s a full recap of the selections in this year's draft:

LEO CARLSSON (1st Round, 2nd Overall) - A surprising pick over Adam Fantilli, the Ducks selected star prospect Leo Clarsson from Sweden. Carlsson posted excellent numbers in Sweden’s top professional league, with 10 goals and 25 points in 44 games.

NICO MYATOVIC (2nd Round, 33rd Overall) - Myatovic is a 2004-born forward with a late birthday who spent the year in the WHL with the Seattle Thunderbirds. His production for a player at his age in junior was good, but not outstanding for where he was drafted, scoring 30 goals and 60 points in 68 games.

CAREY TERRANCE (2nd Round, 59th Overall) - Terrance spent the year with the Erie Otters for his sophomore season in the OHL. The center scored 30 goals and 47 points in 67 games.

DAMIAN CLARA (2nd Round, 60th Overall) - With another selection immediately following the Terrance pick, the Ducks selected goaltender Damian Clara. The Italian-born netminder stands at 6-foot-6 and posted a .903 save percentage playing U-20 hockey in Sweden. Clara was the fifth goalie selected in the draft.

COULSON PITRE (3rd Round, 65th Overall) - Pitre was another player with a late birthday, as 2004-born winger. He scored 25 goals and 60 points in 59 games with the OHL’s Flint Firebirds this season.

YEGOR SIDOROV (3rd Round, 85th Overall) - With their fifth forward selection in six picks, the Ducks took Yegor Sidorov near the end of the third round. Sidorov was passed over in last year’s draft, but rebounded this season to score 40 goals and 76 points in just 53 games with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades.

KONNOR SMITH (4th Round, 97th Overall) - The first defenseman selected by the Ducks, Smith stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs nearly 210 pounds. He posted 15 points in 65 games with the OHL’s Peterborough Petes this season.

RODWIN DIONICIO (5th Round, 129th Overall) - Another defenseman, Dionicio was passed over in last year’s draft. However, following a trade to the Windsor Spitfires, he posted excellent numbers with 44 points in just 33 games on his new team.

VOJTECH PORT (5th Round, 161st Overall) - With the Ducks’ last pick, they selected defenseman Vojtech Port. The right-handed blue liner managed 17 points in 48 WHL games this season.

The Ducks also announced their qualifying offers, which went to Trevor Zegras, Troy Terry, Jamie Drsydale, Lukas Dostal and Benoit-Olivier Groulx.

However, the Ducks didn’t extend qualifying offers to Max Comtois, Simon Benoit, Axel Andersson, Olle Eriksson Ek, Josiah Slavin or Bryce Kindopp.

The two biggest names to go unqualified were Comtois and Benoit. Comtois doesn’t come as a surprise, given the Ducks would’ve needed to issue a qualifying offer around $2.5M. Two years removed from a season in which he led Anaheim in both goals and points, Comtois had back-to-back disappointing years where he was in and out of the lineup and at this point, there’s reason to fill the spots with other players.

Benoit came as a bit more of a surprise though. He took on a large role with the Ducks and while the team does have defensive prospects who are likely to make the roster next season, he could’ve been good to have around as depth on a short-term deal.

Free agency will open tomorrow, so we’ll see what comes of it. For anyone interested, I’ve projected contracts for the group of UFAs at HockeyComparables.com. Any remaining UFA projections will be out as of tomorrow morning, to track how each deal signed lines up against projections. All outstanding RFA projections will be out by the end of next week.
