NHL teams can claim Yan Stastny at half of his $500,000 one way salary.

At $250,00 it's possible Stastny gets claimed but considering we are so early in the season I don't see it happening. If we were 40-50 games in and he was playing the way he has thus far it could be a much different story.

No one is more pleased (besides Yan) than his agent Matt keator who tells me the Blues stuck to their word by re-calling Stastny. Prior to the season Keator was told if Yan was Peoria's best player he would be the first forward to be called up.

D-man Carlo Colaiacovo skated this morning after leaving early Saturday night and should be fine to play Wednesday in Carolina.

Alex Pietrangelo ws paired today with Eric Brewer. Word is brewer is getting very, very close.

Anthony Peluso has been re-called from Alaska to Peoria.

Derek Armstrong returned to practice today in Peoria after missing several days with the Swine Flu.

Goaltender Chris Mason will join me tonight live at Johnny Mac's on Watson rd. from 6-7 for Blues Buzz.

More to come,
