Blues forward Paul Kariya was kept overnight as a precaution in a St. Louis hospital Sunday night after being elbowed in the head early in the Blues loss to Buffalo.

It's safe to say kariya will miss some time.

Word is D-man Erik Johnson will be scratched Tuesday vs. Nashville. Obviously things can change but as we sit today that appears to be the plan. Johnson has seen his game drop off in recent days.

D.J. King could return in a matter of days. He will see the Doctor in ther next few days to determine an exact date. He did some sparring with Cam Janssen during practice on monday and checked out just fine.

Janssen is expected to replace Kariya in the lineup on Tuesday.

Alex Steen to replace Kariya on the David Backes, T.J. Oshie line.

I'll have more later.

More to come,
