Ilya Kovalchuk to meet with SKA ownership |

The leadership of SKA is set to meet forward Ilya Kovalchuk to talk a potential extension.
Kovalchuk's deal with SKA ran out on May 30th and the player became unrestricted free agent. He also has shown interest in moving to NHL and has been in talks with multiple teams over there.
SKA's president Gennady Timchenko told ''TASS'' agency that both sides are set to meet and discuss their plan to extend his deal. ''He is our hockey patriot, we hope to extend him,'' Timchenko said. ''We will talk today, and we might have some news later,'' he added.
Kovalchuk has been linked to teams such as Columbus, NY Islanders, Devils and Vegas Golden Knights.

Kovalchuk currently meeting with the team. Sources have indicated that SKA will make an offer in the neighbourhood of 10 million.
