Not every team dinner goes as planned, at least not in Russia.

KHL's Avangard Omsk players ended up in a massive brawl.. against each other at their new year's celebration party. Andrei Stas was the guy who got seriously hurt same as his wife. The video of the incident recently leaked online.

According to source Russian forward Mikhail Fisenko beat up his teammate Andrei Stas. Belarussian's wife former athlete Valeria Kurilska attempted to stop the whole fight but apparently received a punch from another teammate Max Chudinov.

Stas got serious injuries and ambulance had to be called in order to take care of one's health. The restaurant's ''Oskar'' workers had to put in an effort to clean up the mess following the fight.

Speculation is that the conflict occurred due to Belarussian coach Andrei Skabelka, during the time when the team was trying to get him fired. Stas refused to take part in a conspiracy against his coach and got punished for it.

Skabelka was let go on December 29th, as per Avangard's PR office - Skabelka was let go due to ''Teams low performance''.

Avangard has played 49 games so far this season, recording 80 points and slotting 2nd in Eastern conference.
