Since it is eight days until the trade deadline, the time is ripe to do a blog to poll everyone's thoughts.

Team questions

1) Which team(s) do you cheer for?

2) What do you think your team(s) need?

3) What pieces are you willing to part with to make a deal?

4) Who on your team is untouchable?

Front office questions

5) Are there any management changes you want to see happen?

6) Do you expect any coaching changes at this point of the season?

7) Which front office do you think will be the busiest?

Player questions

8) Who do you think the first player to be moved will?

9) How many trades do you think will go down between March 1 and March 3?

10) Who is one player that people aren't talking about that you think'll be moved?

My answers

1. Colorado Avalanche

2. The Avs need to offload more than they take on to open up slots for their prospects next year. I'd like to keep Ruslan Salei and offload Brett Clark and John-Michael Liles. Avs could also use a depth winger.

3. Salei, Clark and Liles on the front, I'd be willing to move. Up front, I wouldn't mind offloading Marek Svatos or Darcy Tucker. If teams ask for a prospect, I offer T.J. Hensick.

4) Anyone under 25 plus Adam Foote and Craig Anderson.

5) The one I expected already happened and that was Gainey stepping down (thought he would have been fired.)

6) No coaching changes. St. Louis, Columbus, Philadelphia all changed coaches. That's enough for this season.

7) Toronto's front office should be busiest as they'll desperately try to get some picks in the fold before the deadline passes.

8) I actually don't think it'll be a real big-name player going first. My guess is Marty Turco gets traded first to Philly.

9) My prediction is 42 trades to be made.

10) The only player not being talked about a lot that I expect to be moved is Vinny Lecavalier.
