The LA Kings have placed goaltender Dan Cloutier on waivers. This leaves the Kings with Jason LaBarbera and JS Aubin as their goaltenders. I am told the Kings are now hot after Martin Gerber as they do not want to enter the season without a bonafide number one goalie. What would the Ottawa Senators want in return is anybody's guess?

Gerber has played well enough in the first two pre-season games and the Kings can take on his contract as their cap hit is at 43.8 million.
