Capitals Have Life After Double O.T Thriller

Faced with going down 3-0, and statistically all but eliminated after losing the first two games of the series at home, the Capitals played a great game last night and extended the series to a minimum of five games.

The situation sucks for the Capitals who threw 60 odd shots at the net in game two, only to have an insanely hot Sergei Bobrovsky deny them their rightful victory.

With visions of Jan Halek haunting his dreams, Ovechkin personally took 10 shots and could not give his team the win, despite a performance of pure dominance. Has anyone ever been as great in the playoffs with less recognition than Alex Ovechkin?

The star of last night's game - besides game winning goal scorer Lars Eller - was Braden Holtby.

Relegated to the bench in one of the all-time great coaching blunders, Holtby finally got the crease in game three and did not disappoint.

He made 197 saves (or it felt like it) through almost five periods, included a nail-biting OT power-play for the Jackets.

Had the Capitals originally started Holtby, they'd probably be winning this series.

Game 4 is tomorrow night.

This Is Radio Clash by the Clash is a song that isn't on any of their albums, and as such is one of the greatest non-album tracks in the history of music. From 1981.
