Before we put the jersey debacle behind us and move on to the product on the ice, there's still one important step that needs to be taken:

What are we going to call the new sweater design?

Love 'em or hate 'em, it's the right of every fan to give the Canucks latest sweater a catchy name. So let's see, over the years we've had the stick in rink, the flying V, the flying/downward skate (plate of spaghetti), the birthing whale and now these...

What should we call them? Here's some ideas to get us started on naming the jerseys that attempt to portray the Canucks history.

a) The Medley's - kinda like a greatest hits compilation, only without a greatest hit.

b) The Jammies - apparently some of you had pajamas that looked like these when you were kids. Sadly, I missed out on those because I was sportin' my full-length Wayne Gretzky duds, complete with a snappable butt-trap and built in socks. Life was so much easier back then.

c) The Cheque Marks - the VANCOUVER word mark represents the Vancouver Millionaires, the WHL Canucks and one of the most beautiful and expensive cities in North America. On these sweaters it deserves a big red X and a failing grade.

Got any other ideas for naming the new threads? Who knows, maybe your suggestion will forever go down in history on the Vancouver Canucks Wikipedia page.

Let the naming begin!
