Today, the Philadelphia Flyers made it official that the club's ECHL affiliation will be changed from the Trenton Titans to Wheeling Nailers.

The New Jersey Devils are now affiliated with Trenton. The Flyers, who typically only have one or two affiliated players at the ECHL level at a given time, will share the Wheeling affiliation with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Technically, under the terms of the agreement, the Flyers can send two goalies and up to three positional players at a time to Wheeling.

For those of you who have yet to check out Bruce "Scoop" Cooper's hockey trivia on the right hand side of the Hockeybuzz menu, I highly recommend it.

I can honestly say that you will learn something every time you read Scoop's blog. No one, and I mean no one, has a more thorough knowledge of both historical and offbeat hockey information than Scoop.

He has decades of experience in and around hockey and between his own experiences and extensive research, his recall and attention to detail are astounding.

Even if you don't know the answers to any of the questions, you can discover all sorts of offbeat but interesting info from the trivia answers Scoop provides.
