ESPN WANTS HOCKEY BACK
A source has told me that ESPN is desperate to get back into the hockey game, and has let it be known. Versus has the NHL this season and the option to re-up for another 3 years...I am being told that Versus is on the fence and the NHL may offer up a package of games to Versus, while returning the majority of the deal to ESPN next season. In essence this could give the NHL its biggest presence to date on National TV in the US. NBC for the weekend games and finals, ESPN and ESPN2 for the majority of the season games and playoffs, and Versus (who by the way, may become a vehicle for the NHL Network in the US) will have a Game of the Week similar to the deal that TNT has in the NBA.
Preds surpass goal of 300 Season Ticket Sales ALREADY
The actual rally does not begin for about another 3 hours and they have already passed the goals set for the entire day...320 Tickets and counting AND over 120 new companies have come to the party to buy corporate tickets...Absolutely awesome to see thousands of fans already in the arena and walking the streets in 90 degrees in jerseys...The Preds will be unvailing their new jersey this evening during the rally . It has been an absolutely incredible experience already meeting Preds Fans and doing the last 5 hours on the air. Three more hours to go...

NASHVILLE GROUP GAINING INCREDIBLE MOMENTUM
The local group to buy Nashville has gained a ton of momentum and I was told by a great source this morning that within a week or two a deal could be in place. They are watching today closely of course, but the source told me that "yesterday's meeting went exceedingly well..." another who said, "The amount of momentum that has been generated by this group of 10 or so local Nashville buisiness people is phenomenal."
It is a process. But the difference today as far as the future of the Preds in this great city is palpable.
