Looking for three in a row

After losing three in a row Pittsburgh will look to win three in a row as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes this evening. Here's what the lines look like at the morning skate.

No changes from the last game. It is worth noting that Brian Dumoulin continues to skate with the team as he continues to build up his endurance. Kris Letang took the ice after practice with the healthy scratches.

Matt Murray was first off the ice and will continue to be the starting goaltender for the team.

Things to look for:

Will Pittsburgh continue to play high event hockey? Their losing streak was lower event hockey than the last two games they won. Their defense corp. may be undermanned but the forward group is as strong as it's been with Guentzel back up with the big club and showing no signs of letting up. Push the pace and make Cam Ward work. Chances are things will turn out OK

Can the fourth line stay productive? I see no reason why it can't. You have Chris Kunitz and Scott Wilson who have lower end top six caliber statistics this year playing in a reduced role. This should help out Eric Fehr who has struggled this year but is now at his natural center position.

Can Justin Schultz keep this up? He's been great. He's looking for a new contract after the year. He has a small sample playing at this level. The only good thing about the Letang injury has been Schultz seeing more time in a non-bottom pairing role. I still need more evidence to be comfortable extending Schultz for both money and term.
