The Oilers have signed defender Matt Benning.

Benning was discussed here. It's a 2 year ELC and the expectation is that he will join the AHL squad this fall barring a training camp miracle. Benning was originally drafted by Chiarelli in Boston at the 2012 Draft.

Update: Per Bob Stauffer Benning has a 1.075 AAV with 300K "A" bonus in 2nd year.
