I apologize for the late post today. Alot to do before I head up to Ottawa tomorrow, and my little girl got sick and I had to take her to Children's Hospital in Philly...What an amazing hospital. Big hockey fans there. There is actually a wing sponsored by the Flyers with young kids drawings of their favorite Flyer. My daughter, who just turned 5, was a trooper and a half as well.  She was having really bad stomach pains, so at 6:30 am we headed over...she had to lie on her back for an hour while being scanned. She is OK. We both watched Nemo.... "just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."

When I COULD finally turn my cell phone on I was treated to a few good rumours for you all. First off, Zubrus may very well be heading to the Islanders. The Caps also have interest, but my source told me that, "They love Zubrus on the Island."

Next I was told by an extremely good source that Vanek is buying a house in the Buffalo area. Second day in a row for "real estate clues." If Vanek does remain a Sabre, the question will be for how much?

Finally, as has been widely reported, Sundin and the Leafs are extremely close to signing an extension. I was told, "This was the piece that needs to happen for the events of the next 4 weeks to occur." Take from that what you may...
