Bob Hartley Out in Calgary, Letang Suspended One Game

I'd have thought the Flames' breakthrough in 2014-15 would have been enough to get an extra season despite this year's backward step for the team. Nature of the game, though. Flames are still a team on the rise.

The NHL Department of Player Safety after having a hearing with Pittsburgh's Kris Letang has suspended the Penguins defenseman for one game following a hit on Washington's Marcus Johansson on Monday.

Letang avoided suspension during the first round series against New York after a high stick on Rangers winger Viktor Stalberg, but was penalized following a high hit on the Capitals forward, who returned to the game but did not practice in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
