UPDATE: The New York Rangers and center Derek Stepan have avoided salary arbitration and reached an agreement on a six-year, $39 Million contract extension, which is an annual cap hit of $6.5 Million per season.
Also, Nashville and forward Colin Wilson have agreed to a four-year, $15.75 Million deal.

In other news, there has been a big time slowdown in signings, but most of the people I talk to say many teams have set a deadline to get their rosters in order by the end of July...so this week has some potential.
It is very apparent that a few trades are holding up possible moves in Boston and Washington...Also I am hearing Columbus is more likely to pick up a d-man via trade, but could still make a push for Franson.
Here are some rumors to kick things off:
On Franson...
The Bruins are looking to move Seidenberg to make some room, but the Islanders are now poking around here....keep an eye on Columbus though...
On Tlusty...
Surprisingly I am hearing the Canes are once again talking to Tlusty about a possible one year deal...Montreal and Phoenix are still a factor...
On Eric Fehr....
The Canucks are the latest possibility I have heard interested in Eric. Fehr brings a lot to the table and has many options if he is willing to take a short term deal or a little less. Someone will get a steal here...
On Skinner...
The latest addition to the Skinner sweeps appears to be Nashville...although Winnipeg and Montreal are still possible destinations...
On Bozak...
It sounds like Lou might hold onto Bozak....trade is still possible, but not as urgent.
More to come...
