Were someone to ask me "Who are the least pretentious people in hockey?" I would first look at them strangely and say, "What a pretentious and unexpected question,"

Eventually I would reply, "Simple: John Buccigross and Keith Jones."

So when I found out that the two of them had teamed up to pen a book on Keith Jones and his improbable hockey life, I knew it was something that I would get behind. And since both of them have done podcasts on HockeyBuzz in the past, i knew it would be fun to talk to them about the book and the current state of hockey. These are two people that get it. they just LOVE the sport.

John Buccigross is a treasure to the sport, and unfortunately we don't get enough of his writing now that ESPN doesn't cover hockey as much. His stories can be found on the ESPN website and you always can rest assured that you will get some great hockey stuff mixed with some apt references from the 80s or metaphor that leaves you looking for a place to use it.

(I stared at Lauren Hart singing the Anthem on the jumbo screen like a beagle watches a human chew meat.")

Yes, that is John...

The book is called: "Jonesy, Put Your Head Down and Skate: The Improbable NHL Career of Keith Jones." and is available now a special pre-order price with free shipping from Middle Atlantic Press by clicking:
Order, "JONESY"

So Support these fine fine folks as Jonesy, true to his nature, is donating all the proceeds to the Alex's Lemonade Charity.
