Oskar Sundqvist is doing something that a lot of people didn’t think was going to happen this soon. He is making a legitimate run at making the Pittsburgh Penguins. Seemingly it is ahead of schedule, but his on ice play has been great so far this preseason for the role that he would be used in.

So much that people have expressed discontent about any potential roadblocks for his inclusion on the roster:

Normally you would just chalk this up to regular fan talk but you’ll find a very interesting member among the people who have favorite this tweet.




I truly believe there is no malice towards Craig Adams in him favoriting this tweet, he was directly mentioned in the tweet, saw somebody saying something positive about him, and he liked it. I still thought it was funny.

Even if Sundqvist fails to make the team this year he has shown that the Penguins have a pretty promising bottom six center option in the pipeline ready to contribute in the near future. That is always a good thing.

And yes, he should make the team over Craig Adams. Will he? I don’t know.
