Ryan Miller and Steve Ott settled in nicely to the Blues roster last night, and enjoyed a big 4-2 win in their first games with their new teammates.

Ryan Miller stopped 23-of-25 shots against and earned his first win as member of the Blues. The two goals that were let in, Miller didn't have a chance on either. The first goal, scored by none other than Paul Bissonnette, was partially deflected off the skate of a sliding Barret Jackman. Changing the angle entirely and getting past Miller.

The second goal was a missed defensive assignment on the Blues defense, which left a man wide open in front of the net, a quick one-timer and it's 2-0 Phoenix in the second period. But that's all that would get past Miller for the night.

After being unable to score in their last two games, it was Patrik Berglund who put the Blues on the board early in the third period. After that goal, it was a landslide. Four minutes later, Magnus Paajarvi scored to tie the game at two a piece. Five minutes later, Kevin Shattenkirk broke the powerplay drought with a goal of his own and just like that, it's a 3-2 Blues lead. Berglund would ice it by scoring again with under two minutes to go.

Steve Ott played a very simple game last night, made a few nice defensive plays, played physically, recording three hits, and 100% on faceoffs. Something the Blues desperately needed.

The Blues are back in St. Louis and will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow night at the Scottrade Center. It will be the first time St. Louis native, Ben Bishop, will take on the Blues at home. Bishop was traded by the Blues to Ottawa and then dealt by Ottawa to Tampa, where he has taken over the number one job in net.

The Blues made a minor trade yesterday, acquiring tough guy Eric Selleck from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Mark Mancari.

Mancari, 27, was signed by the Blues as an unrestricted free agent last off-season and has 31 points in 44 games with the Chicago Wolves. He has 13 points in 42 games in the National Hockey League in his career.

Selleck, 26, has seven points in 42 games with the San Antonio Rampage this year. Selleck has also registered 93 penalty minutes. In two NHL games, Selleck has registered an assist and 17 penalty minutes.

The Blues have also sent forward Dmitri Jaskin back to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. Jaskin has recorded a goal and an assist in nine NHL games this year.
