This has been one of the most exciting and entertaining Anaheim Ducks seasons in recent memory. It almost seems fitting that 20 years into the clubs existence the franchise is more popular and relevant than ever.

I was going over a few things and I noticed some intriguing stats and numbers that may not be openly advertised but are clearly worth mentioning. So I have put together a list of 10 noteworthy facts about the 2013-14 Anaheim Ducks season.

Go ahead, 'wow' your friends and co-workers with these juicy morsels of fun.

The following tidbits of info are in no particular order because none of them are any more significant than the other, but they are still cool....at least to me they are.

1. The Ducks have scored more goals (184) at this point in the season (through 55 Games) than at any other time in franchise history.

2. On the defensive front, the Ducks have given up the fewest goals (134) by this point in the season (55 Games) than at any other time in franchise history.

3. Anaheim has the best record in hockey but ranks 20th in attendance this season.

4. Anaheim has reached at least 85 points in just eight of their first 19 seasons. The Ducks already have 83 points in just 55 games.

5. Anaheim's 39 wins is tied for seventh most in club history.

6. The Ducks possess one of the most balanced attacks in the NHL. Through 55 games they have 19 players with at least 10 points, 14 with at least 15 points, nine with at least 20, seven with at least 25, four with at least 30, three with at least 40, two with at least 50 and one with at least 60.

7. Anaheim leads the Western Conference by four points over the Hawks and six points over the Blues. If they were in the Eastern Conference they would be leading current East leader, Pittsburgh, by seven points and second place Boston by 12.

8. The Ducks have 23 players with a positive plus/minus rating....that's the most at this point in the season in club history.

9. Ryan Getzlaf's has 61 points in 51 games. He is averaging 1.2 points per game - that's the highest per game average in his career. His second highest total came way back in the 2008-09 season when he collected 91 points in 81 games for a 1.12 ppg average. At this rate Getzlaf is on pace for 94 pints....that would be a new career high.

10. The Ducks are 21-2-2 at home this season and are on pace to win 34 games at the Honda Center. Forget that they have lost two of three at home. The fact is, they area good home team. At this rate they are on pace to shatter their 28-9-4 home record from the 2007-08 campaign.

Thanks for reading!

P.S. As you know the Ducks extended Marc Fistric. Three years seem good with a low $1.3 million cap hit. Yay team!
