THE BUZZ
The Hawks face the retooled Stars for the first time this season at perhaps not the best moment—the Stars have found their footing of late and appear to be a tough road match for the Hawks.
The Stars, expected by some to be a contender in the NHL's new Central Division, face one of three teams (along with the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche) who currently reign supreme in the Central.
The Hawks, however, have been playing better of late, beginning to recapture the form they showed last year en route to their second Stanley Cup in 4 years. The Stars pose a tougher test in their own building than the Winnipeg Jets however.
Chicago is 8th in the league on the power play versus a Dallas penalty kill that is 14th. The Stars are 23rd on the power play, while the Hawks are still dead last on the PK.
