Isles Game Day: Filling Holes

With Lubo Visnovsky out with a concussion and Michael Grabner being punished, the Isles line-up has a few holes in it. But Jack Capuano has no real problems filling them.

This morning at practice, Newsday's Art Staple has informed us that Capuano has decided Andrew MacDonald will take Visnovsky spot on the first power play unit. Matt Donovan with pair with PM Bouchard for the second unit.

Brock Nelson will play with Peter Regin and Cal Clutterbuck. Carkner will be back in the line-up with Hickey and Donovan will pair with Strait. Nabokov will get the net tonight.

But perhaps the most interesting story of the night will be the return to the Coliseum of John Tortorella. This is the first time I have ever received a text about what time the visiting coach will be meeting with the media before the game.

This -- is a big deal.

Vancouver has lost two straight, against Pittsburgh and Columbus. They do not want to make it a three-peat. They will be looking for the win in Uniondale. I wonder if Roberto Luongo will be nostalgic about being back at the Coliseum when he hits the ice tonight? Nah. Probably not.

This is gonna be interesting.
