The Islanders look to rebound after a weekend where they were held pointless. Tonight they face off against the winless Sabres at 7p at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Evgeni Nabokov will battle Sabres' goalie Ryan Miller in net. Islanders head coach Jack Capuano has decided to sit both Brock Nelson and Matt Donovan tonight. I can see this being an unpopular move but after the shake up in the lines I would like to see what this group will look like tonight.

Both Nelson and Donovan will play and if you look around the league, younger players with a much higher pedigree are being placed in the press box. Former first overall pick Nail Yakupov and highly touted Bruins d-man Dougie Hamilton have both been healthy scratches for their teams past two games.

I want to see the kids play as much as you guys do but these scratches are not uncommon. Just a few years back both Steven Stamkos and Tyler Seguin were sat as well. Obviously if the team comes out flat tonight we can have a healthy dose of arm chair quarterback tomorrow but until then I am interested to see how this team play together against the Sabres tonight.

Here are the expect lines

Forwards:
Grabner-Tavares-Okposo
Bouchard-Nielsen-Bailey
Moulson-Regin-Cluttlerbuck
Martin-Cizikas-McDonald

Defense:
