Were it not for Ryan Miller's net heroics, the Sabres could have easily lost 6-1 to the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks. Once again, the lack of offense undermined great goaltending
and adequate D zone play.

We are six games into this season and the Sabres have scored only six goals.

Miller was a rock star in Chicago, making save after dramatic, game-changing save.

Per usual, he gave his team a chance to win. They didn't reciprocate. The Sabres played a twenty four minute game in Chicago. The problem is that Miller plays all sixty minutes. He cant take shortcuts on shifts. He has to be focused and ready to play at a high level for the whole gamr.

The 33 year old Ryan Miller is too good for this crap. His team is 0-5-1 in its first six games played. Goaltending is NOT the reason why this team has fallen and it can't get up.

Miller is an uncharacteristic 0-4 despite having an impressive 2.29 GAA and .941 save percentage.

Miller deserves a better fate. He's more deserving than one puny goal per game.

If Darcy Regier is a fair minded GM, he'll immediately begin the process of finding a trade partner with Buffalo.

Philadelphia, Dallas and Edmonton are in desperate need of a goalie of Miller's stature.
