Its another day and another dose of bad news for a Sabres prospect.
Four Sabres have sustained hand injuries this week. Three of the walking wounded are rookies who are fighting tooth and nail to earn a Buffalo roster spot.
Last Saturday night vs. Toronto, wingers Zemgus Girgensons injured his hand blocking a shot. Ditto Pat Kaleta each suffered hand injuries.
Then, on Wednesday night, winger Joel Armia suffered a broken hand when he was slashed by a Columbus Blue jackets player.
Nikita Zadarov suffered a hand injury while blocking a shot in the third period of the 1-0 shutout loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night.
Dumb luck.
Ron Rolston will update Zadorov's injury on Saturday after Zadorov has been further evaluated.
Darcy Regier will have to submit his 23 man roster by Monday.
