Thoughts on Schneider being in play

Surprise, surprise, TSN ultimate rumour monger Double D is at it again. Does anyone truly think that anyone in the Canucks organization talks with this guy? What has likely happened is other teams are “asking” if Schneider is in play. Gillis is responding with, well… for the right price, yes.

Would Vancouver deal Schneider? Yes…for the right price everyone in available.

Around the trade deadline it was Rumoured by Bobby Mac that Vancouver viewed Schneider as a superstar and that it would take another superstar to trade him.

If Schneider is dealt the price will be high. And if the oilers truly are very interested in him Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and one of a 2014 first rd pick, Klefbom or Paajarvi will be the return.

JT Miller

Rumours are out there that the Rangers are quietly shopping JT Miller. No word on what exactly they are looking for but from a Vancouver perspective a Lack or Hansen swap for the 20-year-old forward would possibly help both teams.

AV would get either a young goalie he is familiar with or a forward that was amongst his most consistent last season. Torts would get a player that he knows a bit as well.

Thoughts?

Draft Stuff

I recently did some work around the NHL draft for the Calgary Journal. Check out my story on 2013 Draft prospect Jamal Watson of the Lethbridge Hurricanes, ranked 137th by NHL Central Scouting. Feedback is always welcome, so let me know what you think.

I have another two others:
- One on Hunter Shinkaruk .

- A Q&A with the Flames Tod Button .

Well that's a wrap.
