The Tampa Bay Lightning has asked me to be a part of the organization’s Blogger Roundtable. This new feature, which has a number of independent writers weigh in on issues surrounding the team, will be a weekly column on the team’s website.

I can't begin to express how thrilled and honored I am to be HockeyBuzz’s representative on the panel. Below is my response to the first question posed to the group; I have also posted a link so you can go check out the thoughts of other Lightning writers.

Which member of that Crunch team do [you] think will have the biggest impact in a Lightning jersey next season?

This is both a great question, and a difficult question to answer. There are so many talented young players on the Syracuse roster that could make a big impact with the Lightning; choosing just one is nearly impossible. Still, in my opinion, the guy to watch is Brett Connolly.

Simply put, Connolly flourished under Jon Cooper in Syracuse. His play with the Crunch, in both the regular season and playoffs, was consistent and inspiring. With Cooper now at the helm in Tampa, Connolly will enter next season's training camp with a sense of familiarity and comfort. His size, hands, and willingness to make things happen should all be welcomed additions to the Lightning roster.

During the off-season, I’ll continue to update you with the happenings over at the Roundtable. Hopefully it generates some great discussion in Bolts Nation as we move towards the draft, free agency, and next season. You can check out the other responses (including the real version of my own) right here!

As always, thanks for reading.
