New Jersey Devils goaltender, Martin Brodeur, has advanced to the finals.

EA Sports and the NHL announced today that Brodeur beat out Detroit Red Wings forward, Pavel Datsyuk, and advanced to the finals for the NHL14 cover vote. Brodeur will take on Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender and Vezina Finalist, Sergei Bobrovsky, for a spot on the cover.

A Brodeur vs. Bobrovsky final ensures that a goaltender will be on the cover of an NHL game for the first time since NHL97 when Florida Panthers goaltender, John Vanbiesbrouck, was on the cover.

Voting is open now and will remain that way until June 2nd.

In case you missed it, David Clarkson is expecting a big contract offer from the Devils.
