1:31 pm: There is no word on Casey Cizika's condition, however, he has made the trip to Toronto.

The Professor and the Maven do their schtick for the MSG Network cameras. Throughout this season and last, Stan Fischler and Evgeni Nabokov have had a great relationship on camera. But it pales in comparison to the relationship Nabby has with this team.

When the question of MVP rolls around, I agree with the Maven: it has to be Nabby. He has been there to keep them in games they could have lost and often been their best penalty killer.

To Nabokov, he says he's just doing his job. If the coach puts him in net, he can't say no. And we don't want him to.

The Captain took the reins after the game, along with the microphone, to thank the fans for their support. Mark Streit is usually a quiet leader, he has become more vocal and more at ease. I truly believe he wants to stay and sign a new contract and see where this team can go.

Matt Moulson echoed the sentiments of his coach. Happy with the outcome of the game, not exactly happy with how they played it. Matt is also happy to get on the road to get away from a sick wife and daughter. Okay, he was kidding about that, but that's what I heard on the radio as I was heading home. Moulson always has to add a little levity to his interviews and I appreciate that.

And then there's Jack. The confident and svelt head coach of the Islanders that has now passed Peter Laviolette in the Isles win category.

Remember when we were calling for his head? Remember that? Look at him now! Some how he has managed to pull it all together and get this team playing "meaningful games in April" for the first time in six years.

I'll say this... Jack isn't going anywhere soon.

As my buddy Christian Arnold asked Capuano -- What's wrong with Bailey? He doesn't seem right. They're hoping to find out if there's something wrong that should keep him out of the line-up and also hoping they can get some good news on Casey Cizikas who left the game early last night with an upper body injury.

Today is a day off for the Isles, but not for me. It's off to work.
