I have updated The Rumor Chart on Iginla, Okposo, Valtteri Filppula, Streit, Jagr, ad more

'Tis the season...to shift to more, shorter posts as the trade rumors start to come into focus...

According to three, yes three, sources today the Rangers and the Jets are talking...meaning each team gets current NHLers from the other and not prospects. I know the Rangers are VERY high on Evander Kane...as is the rest of the NHL....and there is Dustin Byfuglien sitting out there as well...The Rangers have some very strong complimentary talent as well as a few superstars....one of which I am told would be "amenable to change."

Valtteri Filppula has had an off-season for him, but don't dismiss his value at the deadline and/or this coming summer. Especially from a team like San Jose who has some interesting pieces Detroit prizes...And never forget the Wings are heading East next year so there is definitely a possibility teams in the West who never would have gotten into a deal with the Wings will now do so.

Staying in NY, I am hearing more and more that the Isles and Wild could be discussing Okposo moving back home to Minnesota to join friend Parise...

Also I am hearing the Kings could be making the biggest push for Iginla as well as "an off the radar team no one has been considering in the East" as a possible destination for Iginla...

Jagr is also high on the Kings radar.

The Sharks have inquired on Mark Streit...but the Isles would like to re-sign him.
