Well, that didn't take long.

New Jersey Devils President and General Manager, Lou Lamoriello, announced today that recently acquired forward Andrei Loktionov has been called up to the big club.

The Devils have placed veteran forward Dainius Zubrus, who has missed the last few games with an upper-body injury, on injured reserve to make room for Loktionov.

Lamoriello doesn't have a time frame for how long it will take for Zubrus to get back into the lineup but is expecting to know more in the next couple days.

Loktionov did not register a point in his first two games with Albany.

The Devils are back in action Friday when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at the Prudential Center. No word yet on if Loktionov will make his debut with New Jersey then or if he'll play at all.
